South London’s Andreya Triana has a phenomenal voice and is a serious songwriting talent; renowned for her own killer songs and live performances and also her perfectly matched collaborations with Ninja Tune label mate Bonobo and psychedelic electro producer Flying Lotus. May 2015 sees the release of  follow up to Triana’s 2010 album Lost Where I Belong, the sophomore release Giants.

Max Graef is a Berlin based producer with an impressive back catalogue of house, and techno releases to his name. And now Graef has turned his talented hand to remixing Andreya Triana’s first track from Giants – ‘Gold’. Graef takes Triana’s pop-soul original and turns it into a vinyl crackled, jazz number punctured through with synth stabs and electronic keys, and it sounds pretty damn good to me.
