If Hak Baker carries on like this, we’ll soon run out of superlatives to describe his work. Having repeatedly impressed us and countless others this year with a string of stellar singles, the East Londoner is set to win further fans and plaudits as he returns today to share his debut EP, Misfits.

The 6 track effort is the perfect introduction for the uninitiated to Hak’s self-coined G-Folk sound. It features several songs Hak’s previously shared, including the triumphant Like It Or Lump It and his wonderful ode to his hometown, Conundrum, as well as several previously unheard efforts. These include the searingly honest, Tom, written about and dedicated to a friend who died tragically young in a traffic accident, as well as the dark and brooding MisFits.

Overall, Misfits is yet another impressive offering from one of the brightest talents the UK has seen in years. Stream the record in full below and keep your eyes and ears peeled for more from Hak in the not too distant future.
