Earlier this month, hotly-tipped British four-piece, ISLAND, shared their anthemic latest single, The Day I Die. Having already won praise from critics and peers alike, including Sigrid who included them in her recent Under The Radar piece for the BBC, ISLAND seem set to make a huge impact in 2018. After listening to The Day I Die, it’s clear to see why.

Featuring the band’s trademark gravelly vocals and atmospheric guitars, the bluesy number has now been given the visual treatment, courtesy of a Claes Nordwall directed video, which is streaming exclusively above.

According to the band, the song is about “finding the power to escape the mundane” in an increasingly digital world, a concept expanded on in the video, It finds the band in a dystopian future inhabited by people who have fallen prey to rapidly evolving technology and place no significance on what’s going on in the real world.
