There’s clearly something in the water down in Brighton. I mean, how else can you explain the ridiculous amount of talent emerging from the seaside city recently? The latest product of Brighton’s thriving music scene is Lily Moore, a 19 year old artist who announced her arrival last week with her gloriously soulful debut single, Not That Special.

A slice of pure soul, Not That Special is actually pretty special indeed. A city-trodden yet curiously uplifting track about finding someone, it serves as a wonderful introduction to Lily’s rich, warm vocals and frank lyricism. Something incredibly rare in an artist so young.

With support slots on George Ezra and Vance Joy’s respective upcoming tours and a debut EP slated for release later this year, we’ll be hearing much more from Lily in 2018. On the strength of Not That Special, we’ve got a sneaky feeling it’s going to be good.
