The Mahogany Minute is designed for those who haven’t got a huge amount of time on their hands, and artists who have even less. Every artist continues the same lines, and we all get to learn a little bit more about them.
Brazilian born Dominique Dillon de Byington aka Berlin living alt-pop artist Dillon is on the cusp of releasing her third studio album Kind. Having blazed in to our musical consciousness with the release of quirky ballad Thirteen from her 2011 debut, Dillon’s latest release has a dream-like, beautiful quality to the layers and influences she intimately weaves together – the sound of an artist increasingly confident in the unique, avant garde sounds she is capable of creating.
Home is… where I can put my mind to rest.
It all started when… we met.
Music has… become my unconditional love.
My music… comes from an honest place.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt… it’s that there is hope.
If I’m not in the studio or on stage… I am either walking or taking a bath.
I can’t perform unless… I have something to say.
I’ve never been… scuba diving.
I wish… for kindness
I can’t live without… light & warmth
I find it very easy… to sleep anywhere
If there’s one song… I can listen to under any circumstances, it’s hysteria from amnesia
In 20 years time… it will be October 30th 2037
Kind is out November 10th on Pias
