East London’s, Murkage Dave, dropped one of our favourite tracks of 2016, in the shape of the searingly honest, Car Bomb. Since then, he’s started a new musical project, HALFBROTHER alongside Patrick Scally, and made countless guest appearances on a whole host of other artist’s records. But his solo stuff? That just wasn’t forthcoming.

Thankfully for us though, that changes today, with Murkage Dave returning to unveil his brilliant new single, Put You On My Shoulders.

A low-slung slice of electro-soul, Put You On My Shoulders finds Dave reflecting on the highs and lows of a volatile relationship and realising that, despite it all, he misses what they had. A sentiment which we can probably all relate to. The track is accompanied by a set of lo-fi visuals which follow a pensive looking Dave across London and can be watched in full above.
