There is a lot of buzz on the internet at the moment around Swedish producer Johan Cederberg aka HNNY (preferably pronounced Honey which I think one could guess given the proliferation of Winnie The Pooh images on his Soundcloud). Although HNNY has been releasing original and remixed colourful house and techno for the last 3 years, to much critical acclaim, it is the upcoming May release of his debut album ‘Sunday’ that has got everyone a flutter.

‘Cheer Up, My Brother’ is the first single to be taken from that LP, and it is a chilled out, sunbeam of a track, with just a heartbeat of a groove. It has a 70s retro quality to it, with the crackle of vinyl in the background; perfect for summer listening. My favourite element is the perfect, soulful, almost spiritual vocal that loops back around, lulling you into a blissed out mood.  ‘Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine, we’ll understand it all by and by’ – and so we will.

‘Sunday’ is on general release in May, 2015.
