It’s Monday, so that can only mean one thing, it’s time for another edition of The Monday Digest. Lovingly compiled by the good folks here at Mahogany, The Monday Digest is a weekly roundup of all things musical, all packaged up in one handy article for you.

The week begun with the unveiling of a feature length photo-essay by music’s coolest man, Frank Ocean. Shot this summer whilst Frank was touring North America and Europe, the piece includes shots of Frank and his band, as well as legendary film maker, Spike Jonze, who documented the tour for a (hopefully) forthcoming documentary.

We started Tuesday with the exclusive unveiling of the new video from, Rivera, for his sun-soaked debut single, We’re Alive. Filmed earlier this summer, the video was shot in one take during a drive across the wild and beautiful Brecon Beacons mountain range in South Wales. We followed that up by sharing 288, the new single from the hotly-tipped LA-based artist, Anna St. Louis. A slice of experimental folk that comes complete with a psychedelic sliding guitar, 288 showcases Anna’s warm, soft vocals and will only increase the buzz surrounding her. Our final treat on Tuesday came courtesy of BØRNS, who made his debut on the Mahogany Sessions with a stripped-back version of Faded Heart. Watch the stunning Session in full below

On Wednesday, we were treated to the brilliant latest single from Cautious Clay. Titled, Joshua Tree, the track finds Clay ruminating on the difficulties of juggling personal ambition and personal responsibilities. Boasting layers of rich electronic atmospherics and a gorgeous saxophone solo, Joshua Tree is another impressive effort from an exciting new artist. That was hotly followed by another banger from another exciting newcomer. This time courtesy of London’s, Elle Watson, who shared her new Clams Casino produced single, Glued and it’s accompanying big-budget visuals.

We kicked Thursday off with the new single and video from one of our favourite discoveries of 2017 so far, Hak Baker. Having wowed us with his first couple of singles, the young East Londoner returned with latest effort, the triumphant Like It Or Lump It. Next up, having recently shared her much anticipated debut album, Dissolve, we invited Tusks into Mahogany HQ to take on the Mahogany Minute, where we learned about her need for hot water and dreams of owning a dog, which I think we can all relate to! Finally, we welcomed Kodaline back to the Mahogany Sessions on Thursday, where they delivered a barnstorming acoustic rendition of, Ready To Change. Watch the Session in all its glory below

As ever, Friday treated us to a whole host of great new music. We kicked things off with the premiere of the lovely debut EP from Lilla Vargen, the Northern Irish artist we’ve been championing for awhile now. There were new albums from the likes of Julien Baker, Gregory Porter, Yellow Days and Curtis Harding, amongst others, whilst the likes of Rhye, MØ, Sam Smith and Plan B all shared new singles. Finally on Friday, Brighton’s finest, Elli Ingram, took control of our Spotify playlist to share some of her favourite songs ever. You can listen to all of Elli’s picks and loads more below.
