Victoria Canal is a 19 year old singer/songwriter hailing from the US, but currently residing in London. A label-mate of Mahogany favourite, Mac Ayres, Victoria has been crafting textured soul music for years, but it was her 2017 single, City Shoes, that got the young soulstress noticed as it notched up streaming numbers in the millions.

Looking to keep the momentum going, Victoria today unveils her much anticipated follow-up, Ebony, exclusively through Mahogany and it’s fair to say it’s another absolute gem. A slow-burning ballad, Ebony finds Victoria’s airy vocals drifting effortlessly above the track’s gradually swelling production as she explores her relationship with her instrument of choice, the piano. Speaking on the track, Victoria explains that “Music is that safe haven for me – like no matter how many times I do things wrong, I’ve got a sonic bed to carry me home. I want Ebony to carry people home.”

Listen to Ebony in full below and keep your eyes peeled from more from Victoria Canal in the future, she’s definitely one to pay close attention to.
